There are so many ways you can use AI in your business, even if you’re just starting.
Artificial Intelligence helps in three business areas: automation, prediction, and personalization. It can help to streamline your process and increase productivity. It is most popular in customer service and management, digital personal assistants, content creation, graphic generation, e-commerce, and marketing.
However, with all the hype surrounding AI, you need to find useful tools that can make a difference versus those that have no value. Let’s review some AI tools and what they can do.
Customer Service and Digital Assistants
Customer service can be greatly improved with an AI tool. There are two types: Chatbots and Digital Assistants. Chatbots can be a part of your website to help customers with common questions or issues. Customer type their question into your website, and the chatbot responds with an answer. Chatbots are text-based.
The second type is a digital assistant, which has more powerful capabilities. They can help customers place orders, track shipments and give suggestions. They can be voice or text-based.
Tools in this category are ManyChat, Liveperson, and Landbot.
Content Creation
Once it understands your business and potential customer, AI writing tools can help create content quickly. They can help generate ideas, write articles and product descriptions by analyzing product features and benefits, create social media posts by optimizing post length and time to post, and tailor email marketing to customers’ preferences.

There is one caution here: Google has made it clear that it is looking to promote content that brings the conversation forward, adds value to what is already out there, and shows off authenticity and authority. You can use a tool like ChatGPT to speed up content creation, but you need to add your personal touch, opinion, and value to the content.
Graphic Generation
AI can generate images, too. They can be used in articles, represent products, present data, infographics, website backgrounds, and much more. Here again, the right prompt is important in getting a good visual. Here are some tips for creating your image.
Provide detailed information such as color, style, dimensions, and what should be included in the image. Explain the tone you want for your brand, target your audience’s needs and desires, and specify that the image should be scalable to different screen sizes so it will work on all devices. Provide information on how the image will be used, such as social media, logo, etc.
Specific tools include; DALL-E3, Jasper Art, Midjourney and Freepik AL Image Generator.

E-commerce and marketing
AI tools can analyze customer data, such as browsing and purchase history, demographic information, and behavior on social media. It helps an e-commerce business target its customers and recommends other products that fit their interests.
In addition, the tool can help target marketing campaigns that will be more appealing to your customers.
Some specific tools in this area are Vue.ai, Phrasee, and Namogoo.

Marketing personas
One important part of marketing is to describe your ideal customer, known as a persona. Having accurate knowledge serves as a guide for a marketing strategy.
A persona should answer questions about the goals and objectives of your buyer, what problems they are trying to solve, what makes them take action, and what they need to know to make a decision. This is the information you would include in your prompt.
While talking to real people is best, you can ask AI to generate a first draft of what your target market looks like.
A detailed prompt helps AI come up with a lot of information about your prospect. After the first response, you may need to go back and provide more information for a more refined response.
One thing to know is that this may not be accurate until you verify it with actual customers.
Two AI tools are ChatGPT and Crystal. Crystal can evaluate actual customers based on their online presence.
ChatGPT
Chat GPT is one of the most popular and open source content creation tools. It can handle many styles and tones of writing so that it will match your writing type. It can deal with complex prompts that will give exact results.
Providing the proper prompt is the key to get great results.
Here are some things to include in your prompt.
1-In your prompt, include what you’re writing for: a blog post, social media content, a product description, an email newsletter, etc. Defining the content type allows the AI to optimize the length and structure.
2-Explain core values. Provide several adjectives that defines your brand with specific characteristics.
3-Include information about your brand style guide. Give examples that reflect specific guidelines.
4-Address your customer’s wants and needs. Use your customer’s desires and concerns in your prompt.
5- Evaluate where your customer is in their buying process so you can speak to their needs at different stages
6- Include in the prompt all product information like price and description
7- Ask to include a clear call to action

Concerns about AI
One of my concerns with AI is the potential impact on the job market. As this tool becomes more popular, it can hurt existing jobs in many areas.
However, with all new technologies, some jobs are lost, and new ones are created.
In my research for this article, I read that at least two new businesses may be needed with the increased popularity of AI.
One is the AI Content Expert or Consultant, someone who can help existing businesses learn and use the new technologies. The other is an AI Prompt Engineer. We have just explained how the right prompt is critical to getting a good result. A prompt engineer is experienced in writing prompts to get great results from the AI for either text content or art. A prompt engineer needs to be good with words, give specific details, and understand how the AI “thinks.” And must know how a prompt can be refined. These will be the new jobs in the future.
Summary
Remember AI is a tool. It doesn’t take the place of your own creativity or give you a new capability. What it does do is help you automate your workflow, summarize data, and work faster. AI is here to stay and will continue to grow in its uses. It will be helpful for you to try different tools to see what they do and learn how to use them.
